Curved Features? Here’s An Easy Solution.

There were two options for the curved features on District Fitzroy, a 5 level, 39 apartments project.

Build on site or build off site.

The successful builder, Ducon Construction, chose the second option to their advantage. Panel framing was designed, shop detailed and pre-fabricated in two sections, incorporating both the vertical and horizontal feature curves. Framing was designed and engineered to take the loads of the balustrade/external wall, enabling direct fix of cladding for ease of installation.

The alternative? A tedious, labour intensive and traditional on site build.
