Helping to Fight Poverty with a Donation to Figurehead’s Oxfam Challenge!
100km. 48 hours non-stop walking. A challenge that most people would back down from.
But thankfully for the Oxfam Foundation, there are people willing to go above and beyond what is reasonably expected to raise funds to fight poverty.
8 of these are from Figurehead Constructions – walking in two teams of 4, they have described Oxfam as their ‘most gruelling, painful and possibly even deadliest challenge yet.’
The Oxfam Trailwalker is Australia’s original 100km team endurance event. Melbourne’s event kicks off in the outskirts of the Melbourne CBD, winds its way through the densely forested Dandenong Ranges and Yarra Valley National Parks, before pouring out into the sweeping plains of the Warburton Valley.
The event is held to raise funds in support of Oxfam Australia – an organisation working towards a just world without poverty. Find out more about Oxfam’s work >
Cortek by SBS Group was quick to respond to Figurehead’s invite to support their teams – we’re pleased to help fight poverty by making a donation of $500 on behalf of our loyal customer.
All the best Adrian, Will, Joe, Ryan, Liam, Marcus, Fergus and Leigh – we hope our donation will add to your determination to succeed in this challenge.
