Project Overview
THE PROJECT CHALLENGE /
As the design of the roof truss shapes most likely could not have been fabricated from timber, an accurate, reliable and easy to install steel frame system was required.
THE CORTEK FRAMING STEEL SOLUTION /
The in-house design and construct approach for the top floor and roof truss framing ensured a controlled LGS alternative, removing unnecessary structural steel from the design.
Seeing the complete structure in a fly through 3D model greatly assisted with foreseeing some design shortfalls. Some additions and amendments were made to the design early on and implemented seamlessly on site. 3D modelling enabled Cortek to determine where additional support for roofing was required and how the draining of the roof would work.
Frames were delivered to site pre-assembled and erected in-situ quickly.
