Project Overview
THE PROJECT /
Set in a beautiful location on the Mornington Peninsula, this architectural residence was designed to maximise the stunning views and idyllic landscape.
However, it was the peak of the Covid pandemic and timber building materials were short in supply. This project was a perfect opportunity to test the advantages of a light gauge steel alternative for a client that typically built with timber frames.
THE CORTEK STEEL FRAMING SOLUTION /
The team at Cortek worked closely with the client to detail and fabricate all the wall and roof truss frames to exact specifications.
Steel frames are straighter, stronger and lighter than timber, achieving a faster install – saving both time and labour on the job site.
Steel is also considered to be one of the most environmentally friendly building materials available, allowing the client to positively contribute to a more sustainable build.
