Building smarter starts with designing systems that solve real common construction difficulties – and this client needed a solution for a complicated box facade design.
THE CORTEK FRAMING STEEL SOLUTION /
After reviewing the project documentation and engineering, Cortek Framing by SBS Group proposed a prefabricated cantilevered trussed solution for the box facade.
Using light gauge steel materials eliminated the traditional structural steel and concrete slabs. The Cortek system was designed to incorporate the revealed box windows and fascia facade with a unique spanning advantage.
Following initial design approval and sign off, framing was manufactured true and straight. Engineered lifting points were concealed within the framework for easy lifting and fixing off to the building structure. Once installed, cladding was directly applied using a mixture of cladding products.
