THE PROJECT CHALLENGE / Located in South Yarra, Echo Apartments is another successful project built by Hutchinson Builders that once again partnered with Cortek Framing by SBS Group to supply window frames, flashings and claddings for quick and easy installation on site.
THE CORTEK FRAMING STEEL SOLUTION /
> Despite the tight construction site, steady progress of the project was made possible with the use of pre-fabricated lightweight external wall framing solutions.
> Large sections were pre-fabricated by Cortek Framing by SBS Group, delivered and then craned into position. As the building increased in height, the framing created engineered edge form fall protection for pouring of the next slab.
> Pre-fabricated and pre-clad lightweight vertical box fins were also installed within the building footprint for faster and easier fixing compared with conventional on site erection.
