Project Overview
THE PROJECT /
Located at a quiet location in Hampton Park, this brand new aged care residence was managed and built by Aged Care Developments.
The project was initially proposed during the early pandemic years, with the client facing unexpected budget constraints.
In addition, all materials had to comply with strict fire rating regulations. Non-combustible materials are a high priority for aged care builds, and this project was no different.
THE CORTEK STEEL FRAMING SOLUTION /
Having worked with the client on other successful projects, there was a mutual understanding of the benefits steel framing could bring to the project.
A light gauge steel framing system was proposed to replace the traditional timber construction throughout the development. Costs were reduced through the value managed design, which limited the use of structural steel, achieving the budget constraints.
Additionally, as steel is non-combustible, it was compliant with all the necessary fire rating regulation.
Throughout the project, Cortek’s project management team worked closely with the client to coordinate logistics and positively impact the project timeline.
