THE PROJECT /
When designing Hawthorn’s newest apartment complex, inspiration was taken from the suburb itself.
Hawthorn is home to many heritage listed historic residences. This combined with the idea of bringing the ‘outside in’ created Hazel’s elegant and timeless design that fits perfectly into the leafy surrounds.
Spread across 2 spacious levels, Hazel Hawthorn features 17 light filled modern apartments with 2 or 3 bedroom options.
THE CORTEK STEEL FRAMING SOLUTION /
Cortek Framing by SBS Group worked with Quadrant Building to design and provide top level external and internal wall framing, parapet, partition and roof truss TRUECORE steel framing as well as posts and beams.
For projects such as this one where the top level has no major load to bear, light gauge steel framing is the perfect option. Not only does the use of steel create millimetre perfect frames, speed up installation and reduce costs, our light gauge steel systems are engineered and manufactured in various widths and gauges to suit the project specifications.
Frames are custom designed and shop detailed to incorporate services and hole locations as required.
