THE PROJECT CHALLENGE /
Industria Knoxfield is a new commercial development that offers business, trade and storage premises to businesses within Melbourne’s eastern precinct.
THE CORTEK FRAMING STEEL SOLUTION/
Architecturally designed, the external feature boxes were originally detailed in heavy and expensive structural steel.
Cortek designed, shop detailed and manufactured a solution to replace the structural steel on site.
Using Truecore light gauge materials, framing was manufactured in sections and trussed, maintaining straight and true boxes. Frames were then delivered to site complete with framing layouts. Once installed, the cladding was directly fixed, removing the need for top hats.
