THE PROJECT CHALLENGE /
The Lucia Apartments lobby is above and beyond a standard typical entrance. Featuring complex patterned designs, it was not only a challenge to construct, it was also a challenge to achieve and maximise productivity on site.
THE CORTEK STEEL FRAMING SOLUTION /
Originally detailed in heavy, tedious and expensive structural steel, the Cortek design team recommended an alternative time saving solution that produced beneficial results for the builder.
Framing was engineered, shop detailed and pre-fabricated into sections using light gauge steel while coordinating integrated services and fabricating to site specifications. Framing was delivered in four sections including the coffer to enable an easy and safe installation process, and allowing for cladding to be directly fixed.
What was originally considered a challenging build was made possible with a superior lightweight solution.
