Project Overview
THE PROJECT CHALLENGE /
The newest terminal at Australia’s second busiest airport was built while the airport continued to operate 24/7, requiring smart methods of construction to keep the project on program with minimal disruption. The plastering contractor contacted Cortek for a pre-fabricated lightweight steel solution for the internal suspended panels; approximately 60 in total.

The panels were manufactured off site in our factory and delivered directly to the contractor. They were able to quickly and easily apply the cladding before lifting the panels into position. This enabled a controlled installation process and better overall finish, while also eliminating wastage.
The individual frame modules were designed to work with the various dropper systems to contribute towards a seamless fixing system.
Cortek worked closely with the contractor to keep ahead of schedule, providing full shop detailing and layout plans, then fabricating frames before or on time as required
