Project Overview
THE PROJECT /
Oxley Christian College in Melbourne’s outer eastern suburbs is a co-educational school for early years through to Year 12. In 2020, Oxley started a new construction project to add new Junior and Middle School learning buildings to the already impressive campus. Cortek Framing was engaged by the appointed builder to provide the steel framing solution for the school’s new facilities.
THE CORTEK FRAMING STEEL SOLUTION /
With the Junior School building completed in June 2021 and construction quickly commencing on the Middle School building, the builder opted for pre-fabricated steel frames to make for a quick installation process.
Cortek Framing supplied prefabricated 150mm light gauge steel frames that were required for the project.
The frames were 3D modelled, fabricated and delivered to site and with Oxley Christian College and Cortek located just minutes from each other, there were substantial freight savings for the client.
Matt, Project Manager from BP Building Concepts said he would use Cortek Framing by SBS Group again for future projects, adding that “Prefab framing was much quicker to install than the traditional stick build method”.
