THE PROJECT CHALLENGE /
When it came to the pavilion ceiling and wall framing modules for the Red Energy Office fit-out, the construction team opted for a Cortek framed pre-fabricated system.
THE CORTEK FRAMING STEEL SOLUTION /
Pre-fabrication is often compared with conventional on site construction as a faster and easier alternative and in this case, steel was the more viable and quicker option.
The individual pavilion structures were shop detailed in house and manufactured using BHP’s Truecore steel for easy on site handling. Framing was engineered and certified to support the ceiling panel loads without requiring internal roof droppers.
The light gauge steel solution eliminated timber beams and easily incorporated the steel posts with greater span capabilities.
Fast installation was also key to the system with framing designed to coordinate with the window suites
