THE PROJECT CHALLENGE /
Working alongside the cladding contractor, Cortek was engaged to design and manufacture external modular pod framing for the apartment project.
THE CORTEK STEEL FRAMING SOLUTION /
Using cold formed light gauge steel, frames were fabricated within a quality controlled factory environment and delivered directly to the site for installation.
With all curves and dimensions calculated off site, the cladding was pre-curved, speeding up the overall installation process.
The pods were manufactured as full face units and once on site, were simply lifted in using engineered crane hooks, designed and supplied by Cortek.
The pre-fabricated system also allowed the window contractor to pre-measure their windows earlier for a longer lead time. The Caulfield is another perfect example of time, labour and cost saving advantages of pre-fabrication.
