THE PROJECT CHALLENGE /
Situated on a prime corner location, The Easton Burwood is a multi-level apartment project with views to both the city skyline and Dandenong Ranges. The builder was looking for a smarter system for the required balustrades.
THE CORTEK FRAMING STEEL SOLUTION /
The Cortek balustrade system was used in this project to simplify installation. Pre-fabricated curved and straight balustrade frames replaced structural steel posts, infill framing and battens/top hats.
Using high strength lightweight material, frames were easily handled on site without compromising structural integrity. Balustrades were also designed to support top aluminium screens.
Once installed, Cortek’s balustrade system provided immediate fall protection, saving additional costs for the builder. Cortek worked closely with the builder and installer throughout the construction process, modifying frame designs to suit site variations.
