THE PROJECT /
Waterman Collins Street is a new co-working development in the heart of the CBD, offering over 100 workstations, 9 meeting rooms, and private offices.
The client was faced with a complex fit-out that presented several challenges. Heavy secondary steel would have been difficult to install, while tight project timelines demanded a fast and predictable construction approach.
The design included intricate curved bulkheads, and the standalone internal structure carried mechanical loads above the ceiling, making traditional fit-out methods unsuitable. Minimising onsite waste and disruption in an occupied building was also a high priority.
THE CORTEK STEEL FRAMING SOLUTION /
To overcome these challenges, Cortek delivered pre-fabricated internal partition walls and bulkhead framing using engineered, lightweight steel solutions.
By eliminating the need for secondary steel supports, the system was easier to transport and handle on site. The simple installation process improved efficiency, helping the client meet tight timelines, reduce disruption, and achieve a high-quality finish.
In the words of the client:
Will definitely be using this system again. It was a much quicker option than the original structure for delivery and install.
