Smarter Balustrades for Campus Clayton

Campus Clayton; total of 164 apartments over 3 separate four level blocks, designed by Plus Architecture and located just 350m from Monash University.

With L U Simon heading up the construction of this development, the project team identified the benefits of utilising off site construction methods to improve on site efficiencies.

Cortek by SBS Group replaced all structural steel balustrades with a pre-fabricated lightweight structural cold formed adjustable bracket system, resulting in:

• Elimination of top hats enabling direct fix of cladding
• Quick and simple installation, saving labour and time on site
• Incorporation and support of other systems including glass upstand and pod and paver tile system
