VCCC Project – exceptional framing solutions for an exceptional health facility

VCCC Project – exceptional framing solutions for an exceptional health facility

The Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre, currently being constructed in a joint venture by Grocon and PCL, is set to become a world class cancer facility.

Designed by Silver Thomas Hanley, Design Inc and McBride Charles Ryan, the $1 billion development will accommodate the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre and new cancer research and clinical space for Melbourne Health and The University of Melbourne.

Cortek Framing by SBS Group has designed and pre-fabricated the complex atrium curved balustrade frames for the internal 17 levels.

Internal complex bulkheads and framing solutions for the bridge link that connects the new VCCC building and the existing Royal Melbourne Hospital are also under construction.

Construction of this project commenced in late 2011, with completion expected by the end of this year.
